Workshop only this year

It appears that not enough kids registered for my class, so I am canceling it. Instead,  I will do a couple of sign workshops throughout the year. This will allow you to get a taste of sign and what it is like, and for you to meet me.
I am not sure how many I will do...if it will be one per semester or two. I guess I will decide once I see the demand for the first one.

Next year, please plan on taking my class!!!!

It is just a few short weeks when my first class will begin. I have never taught in a virtual classroom before, but the possibilities are endless!!
There are things I can do there, that I cannot anywhere else. I know part of that is due to the way the classroom and school is set up.
I can upload video quizzes, and my students can take them online, and the system grades it and puts it in the gradebook for me. Easy Peasy!!

Cancel Friday Classes

Unfortunately, I will not be having Friday classes at the HH Coop this year.
I will, however, be teaching in a virtual online classroom thru FunCation Academy.
As of now, my classes will be held Mon and Wed from 12p to 1pm.

TIME FOR CLASS REGISTRATION

It is time to be thinking about fall classes. Yay!!  Here is a list of my current classes for the fall of 2015:

Tuesdays: Beginner sign language 12p-2p starting Oct 12. This is a year long class that is broken up into three 8-week sessions.
                       Session One: Oct 13-Dec 8
                       Session Two: Jan 12- Mar 1
                       Session Three: Mar 22-May 10
Each session is $65 and I do offer a family discount.Recommended for ages 10 thru adult.One book is required.

                  Level 2 Sign Language 9:30a- 11a. Same dates apply. This is a year long class, and you have to have completed a full year of beginner sign to take it.Two paper back books are required.

These classes are at Garner United Methodist Church in Garner, NC.




Thursdays: Beginner Sign Language 10a-12p at Smithfield Public Library on E. Market St.
                  This is a year long class that is broken into three 8-week sessions.
                   Session One: Oct 15-Dec 10
                   Session Two:Jan 14-Mar 3
                   Session Three: Mar 24-May 12
Each session is $65 and I do offer a family discount. Recommended for ages 10 thru adult. One book is required.


Fridays: Beginner Sign Language 9a-10:15a at HH Coop at Highland Baptist Church in Garner, NC.
This is a year long course divided into two semesters. Each semester is $65, plus the registration for the coop. 
    First day of school:Aug 21
    Last day of school:May 6

New School Year..........August, 2014

I am excited for classes to begin again!!
As of right now, I have narrowed down my classes to just the HH Coop. http://hhhomeschool.com/

I will be teaching a beginning class and then an advanced class for second year students that just want more sign experience. It will focus on interpreting, song interpretation, ASL language, and maybe idioms.

I have had to change my schedule around due to some blessings in my life. I will see what else God has in store. I am just thankful He has allowed me to teach sign.

UPDATED CLASS DATES!!!

Okay, I had to change my dates since they were interfering . I want as many homeschoolers to be able to partake of the class as possible.
So, since many of you said July was too early....I did this for you.
The new dates are:
Sign 1: Oct 21-Dec 16
Sign 2: Jan 27-Mar 17
Sign 3: Apr 28-June 23
This will complete a whole year and finish out our book.

Classes for 2013-2014 year

It is time for registration for the 2013-2014 school year. I can not believe it. This year went by so fast...and the summer is going by even faster.

I have 2 coop classes and one non coop class next year. Please see the right of this blog for info. See below also:
HH Homeschool for middle and high school meets at Highland Baptist Church in Garner on Fridays.
My Sign Language 1 class is first period from 9am-10:30am.
Sign Language 2 class is second period from 10:45am-12:15pm.

Next:
Oasis Homeschool Group for middle and high school meets at First Baptist Church in Garner on Thursdays. They are still working on their calendar, but my Sign 1 class will be either second or third period.

Next:
My non coop class is Sign 1 and it will meet at Garner United Methodist Church right off the Vandora Springs exit. It is from 12 noon- 2pm, and is for all ages from 10 thru adults. This class is usually a good mix of ages. I always have adults in here, which makes it fun.
